Who Will David Barton Vote For?

Want to find out who David Barton, renowned voice on American history and politics, will vote for? Go to the link below:

http://wallbuilders.com/LIBissuesArticles.asp?id=5386

Why are there no third party candidates included in the voting guide listed above? Because of the unfortunate fact: a third party will not win in this years’ election.

1. There are enough republicans that will vote republican this year and enough democrats that will vote democrat (or republican) this year that a third party candidate will not win.

It gets better…

2. Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr are fighting to get the conservative vote. 1700 libertarians will probably vote for Bob Barr not Chuck Baldwin. That may not seem like a lot but if you’re running third party it is.

Conclusion:

Shouldn’t that be changed? Maybe it should: but is this the year to try to change it by bringing an almost win to the attention of America? No. With all that is at stake we can’t gamble or play around - we have to do what is best. We need to use our vote to bring about a result: not a statement. We need to face the facts and as former president John Adams once said: “Facts are stubborn things...”. One of the major candidates will win; which one depends on you. Do you want to make a result or split the vote and let Barack Obama “change” the economy and security of America?

  1. Let me think about that for a while.

How do you think McCain's choice of Palin affects things?

  2. I think it's the best thing McCain has done yet. There is going to be a lot of negative stuff blown around (by the media and the left) but nothing that is going to outweigh the extreme benefits of choosing her - a conservative reformer - as his running mate. (Also they have to be very careful about how they attack her - since she is a woman).

I think it shows that he is ready and willing to bring about change - whereas Obama just likes to talk about it (very apparent by picking Joe Biden for his vice presidential candidate).

  3. Wow. I was looking down that voting guide, and it was so one-sided. lame lame lame. Whatever we would like to say, WallBuilders is INCREDIBLY political organization.

Just take the Gun Rights example. Saying that McCain is "against the assault weapons ban" is far from saying he's for "Gun Rights." In fact, McCain's stance on gun SALE is pretty shaky.

Another great one is Human Life. Interesting that they never mentioned McCain's stance on Stem Cell research. (yes; he not only thinks it's ok, he wants taxpayers to pay for it.)

Face it; McLame is no candidate. He's a wet noodle. I don't care how much makeup WallBuilders wants to put on him.

You're acting like Obama would be able to enact some radical socialist takeover or let terrorists run wild in America. We've already proven that neither will happen. The president doesn't really have as much power as you would like to think.

What you've got to realize is that if McLame inherits this fiscal and economic crisis, then conservatives will the blamed for what results. There will be big backlash and Republicans will loose BIG next year.

Same goes for Obama. I'm really fine with him winning, because I know that it will only be a short-term victory. In the long term, the American people will get a nasty picture of socialism. Up close and personal.

That's why I'm going independent this year. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1935071017

  4. I look back at this in 2013 and I see now that a third party vote for righteousness over a lesser evil IS the right thing to do. If Jesus ran third party people would say...dont waste your vote. If McCaine had one, there would be no tea party. I regret voting for him to this day.
